As
the sun sets on the horizon and you take a gentle stroll down
the main street of the island, you will find a wide variety
of very good restaurants, many of which are located directly
on the beach. Dress is informal unless you are eating in a
hotel restaurant.
There is fresh seafood on display for your selection, including
tiger prawns, oysters, mussels, and even shark. You will also
find many other types of international foods, including pizzas
and steaks.
On the roadside, street vendors sell everything from pancakes
to fried bananas and sandwiches, so if you prefer you can
simply buy something here and sit on the beach under the stars.

A very useful phrase... If you don't like spicy food, you
can say "Mai Pet" (which means "not spicy")
If you don't use this phrase, you may be served local Thai
style, which in southern Thailand, means very hot!!! |
